Hello the emails on my iPhone’s inbox have been moved to trash. the exact thing happened last sunday

Ive spoken to apple support and we went to mail settings to make sure my emails are only deleted when I delete them and some other options but I had to go into my email and just search through the trash

I went through my gmail and erased some imap folders. not sure if that had anything to do with it
